                                                             Mural Proposal

My name is David Grigorian. I have graduated from Rocky Mountain college of Art and Design in December of 2010. I attained a bachelor’s degree of Fine Arts in Illustration specializing in Children’s books and storytelling. I had illustration, painting, and sculpture classes.  My sculptures and paintings have been displayed in numerous local group and solo shows. My Drawing have been in Washington DC Smithsonian. My art and stories have been published in the local newspapers and a magazine.

I would like to propose to paint a mural on the sides of H-70 and Kipling as shown in the image above. I will provide funding with my own money and supplies. I will use Home Depot Behr Outdoor Paints for the murals. I will also use Acrylics to mix with home depot paint to achieve the desired colors. To Seal the murals, I will use multiple coats of Crystal-Clear Acrylic Coating and seal paint finish.

Above are the same sides of H-70 and Kipling with the proposed murals. Those are rough drafts done in Photoshop to see what the murals would look like. The mural also protects the sides of H-70 from moisture and erosion. It will prevent various grasses from growing through the cracks as you may see in the first image of the H-70.

I aspire to make my community a better place with my art. I believe a vibrant mural elevates the mood of viewers coming to and from work. I want my murals to brighten my community and inspire others to go beyond their mundane routines. Below are more detailed images of my murals.

In the photo above I show the same murals painted on the other side of the H-70 and Kipling. I intend to paint all four sides, but open to suggestions.

I love watching the flow of a river, the crushing of waves of waves on the beach, or slowly falling snow. I show this motion in my paintings from a heartbeat to the orbiting planets and galaxies. I’m captivated by life’s progression with the bad and the good. The passing of the seasons along with life and death. There is a lot of repetition in this life and universe that I aspire to mimic in my art.

I was born deaf and prefer to be contacted by my e-mail: kavot2000@yahoo.com

Thank you for your time and consideration

The Tiny Weeny Chachochechka picture book synopsis
Written and Illustrated by David Grigorian

Chachochechka is a tiny baby chicken with large green eyes. A chilly spring breeze wakes him up.  He falls of his next on his head. He looks around for his mother Hen, and sees a big brown hen. She can't be his mother because she was big and brown. She must must not be his mother. He wants to know where he came from?

Just then a yellow grasshopper darts by Chachochecka. Grasshopper was tiny and yellow, and looked like his brother or a mother. Chjachochechka runs after the yellow bug.

Chachockechka asks the mud for help to locate the grasshopper.

Chachochechka seeks help from the rain clouds in finding the yellow bug. Chachochechka argued that he can make rain too when he cries or goes peepee. The could thought he was cute.

The clouds part to let the sunbeam shine and help Chachochechka find the grasshopper

Chachochechka follows the sunbeam

Chachochechka finds and meets the grasshopper. The yellow bag gives Chachochechka advice and talls him to go back home.

Chachochechka meets the brown Hen and learns that she is his mother.

He also lears nwhere he came from and made a new best friend the yellow grasshopper.

I write and illustrate my own children's books. The in the "The Tiny Weeny Chazchochechka" I explore nature, natural elements, and animals. I want answer the ultimate question of where we all came from. The story encourages the children to explore nature and ask question.
